Location Information (CoreLocation)

HazeWatch requires access to your location to automatically detect your nearest air quality monitoring sector (Central, East, North, South, or West in Singapore) and display live PSI / PM2.5 readings on your iPhone, Apple Watch, and Lock Screen widgets.

• On-Device Processing Only: Your location coordinates are evaluated solely on your local device to calculate the closest region centroid.
• Zero Tracking or Storage: Your exact GPS coordinates are never transmitted to our servers, never stored in databases, and never linked to your personal identity.

2. Third-Party Services and Data Sources

HazeWatch queries official public environmental APIs provided by the Singapore National Environment Agency (data.gov.sg) solely to retrieve publicly available air quality metrics (24-hour PSI and 1-hour PM2.5). These queries do not transmit any personal identifiers or location coordinates to the data provider.

3. Data Retention and Security

Because HazeWatch does not collect or transmit personal data to external servers, we do not store personal records. Regional preferences and cached readings are stored locally in secure on-device storage (UserDefaults / Keychain) and can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the application.

4. Children’s Privacy

HazeWatch does not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13. The application is completely safe for all audiences.

This privacy policy complies with Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1 (Data Collection and Storage) and ensures full transparency regarding on-device location usage.
